A Yosemite Trip They’ll Never Forget

My wife and I hiked here on Saturday, August 23, 2003. We planned on camping near the falls, but those plans changed a bit. We hiked to the falls, which at that point in the summer was little more than a trickle. It did, however, leave a perfectly clear, cold pool near the footbridge. My wife stripped and jumped in the water.

Her move surprised the hell out of me, and I thought she was out of her mind. Knowing I’d never hear the end of it if I didn’t, I shed my clothes and jumped in after her. Shockingly cold, but amazingly exhilarating. I loved what she did, and how it made me feel.

Then, it hit me: there would never be a better time…

It’s a great story. Read the rest.
