Just a little way north of Yosemite you can take a great sidetrip over Highway 89’s Monitor Pass and follow in the footsteps of Joseph Leconte, one of Yosemite’s most outspoken patrons.

Here’s a great photo of Monitor Pass taken by none other than…MY WIFE!
