The Ahwahnee by Gilbert Stanley Underwood
Chuck and Vicki Rogers took this great shot of the Ahwahnee Lodge. Though the Ahwahnee is shaded in trees now it once stood at the edge of a meadow. There also used to be a golf course or so I’m told.
Did you know that the wood exterior isn’t actually wood? It’s formed concrete made to look like wood. One of the unique things that’s helped the Ahwahnee stand the test of time.
