Found: Stone Hearth

The other day while my wife and I were hanging out in Yosemite Valley when we came across this old stone hearth. As many of you know I know a lot about Yosemite, this, I know nothing about. Does anyone have any more information on it? I’m really interested in finding out when it was built and who lived there. I can provide a location and GPS coordinates as well as directions if you’d like to check it out.
There are archaeological clues that this might have been moved from another location or rebuilt at some period. The hearth was built on top of the floor which left some parts of the wood embedded in the mortar. The wood appears to be rounded and of split logs. There is tin flashing on the chimney and above the firebox but that practice has been in use for over 100 years. Any info would be helpful.
