Coming from Australia, should I still visit the park even though the weather is bad?
Ashley writes in to ask:
G’day! I am writing to you from the sunny Gold Coast, Australia. I have enjoyed your site and the photos very much. I am attending a wedding in Seattle on March 25th. I am considering participating in a one-day tour to Yosemite from San Fran on the 26th. As I am limited to time in the US, I can only afford this one day. However, it sounds like the weather is terrible at present. I know it is hard to judge but will there be nothing but white-snow to see? Do you feel that even if it is just a white wonderland it is still worth the visit? Thank you in advance!
Thanks for the email. It is pretty rainy and snowy at the moment but the clouds and new fallen snow add a sense of quiet and wonder to the park and make for some beautiful photos. So don’t let the weather stop you from visiting. It’s well worth it even if you only have one day.
Have a great trip.
