		<description>I hiked the trail at Hite's Cove last weekend, and it was lovely.  The poppies and baby blue eyes are in full swing, and there are quite a few shooting stars.  Even a few black eyed susans, which is interesting, since they are usually a later blooming flower.  I would guess that the wildflower peak will be in another couple of weeks, so around April 20 should be gorgeous. The river, is, of course, roaring along.  This is a great, uncrowded springtime trail about 14 miles from El Portal, on 140, toward Mariposa.  Enjoy!</description>
