Tioga Pass Still Closed

I just checked and due to recent storm activity Tioga Pass is still closed though it was slated to open yesterday or today if conditions should allow.

It’s a beautiful day today so hopefully it’ll melt away some of the snow and ice so they can get the pass open. Stay tuned. I’ll let you know if anything should change.

    Yep, Tioga (as well as Sonora and Ebbets Passes) is still closed, but Glacier Point road is open!

    I was able to go over Sonora Pass last week, but it was closed again on Friday, May 4th due to the storm. Ebbets Pass has yet to open at all this year.

    I did a bit of caving this weekend, Moaning Cave and California Caverns. Also a bit of exploring out at Chaw-se, Indian Grinding Rock up by Jackson. Then I swung up to Glacier Point and got a few good shots.

    Does anyone know the status of Tioga Pass as of 5/08/07 ? I understand it is still closed but I will be up in that area on 5/13 - 5/16 and would love to take the drive.
