Photo of the Day: Fern Spring by Packer Fan

Photo: Fern Spring by Packer Fan

Today’s Photo of the Day comes from Packer Fan who took this awesome photo of Fern Spring. Fern Spring is the littlest, yet most often photographed waterfall in Yosemite. Great shot, George.

If you have a favorite shot you’d like to be considered for the Photo of the Day then by all means, email it to me. You can send me email with photos, questions or comments to loyd@yosemiteblog.com.

You can also post your photos on Flickr with the tag “yosemiteblogcom” and I’ll find them.

Actually, that is a great shot. I have to say, I see folks lined up at Fern Spring and Sentinel Bridge like lemmings pretending to be Ansel Adams and I sometimes wonder “Why bother?” I’ve got to say, though, that shot actually is worth the bother. Very nicely done and appropriate color scheme for a Packer’s fan. Maybe wait until Fall and get some gold leaves in there.
