Hiker Missing Near Tuolumne Meadows

An 80 year old woman is missing in the Tuolumne Meadows area after becoming seperated from her friends while hiking on Monday.

News10.com: “Searchers are looking for Ottorrina “Terrina” Bonaventura in the Tuolumne Meadows back country. Bonaventura, who is an experienced hiker, started out Monday on a day trip from Vogelsang with three others. Her companions said she turned back toward camp a short time later to properly store some food.

Witnesses said they saw her about 2 p.m. Monday at Emeric Lake, which is in the opposite direction of her planned hike.”

If you have seen Bonaventura please call (209) 372-0778. Authorities are looking for any information that might help narrow the search.
