Get Involved: Join The Planner-For-A-Day Workshop
The National Park Service is having it’s next Planner-For-A-Day workshop on this coming Saturday, August 11th at the Parsons Lodge in Tuolumne Meadows. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss the recently released Tuolumne Planning Workbook, a report on the progress of both the Tuolumne Wild and Scenic River Plan and the Tuolumne Meadows Plan.
Don’t miss out on your chance to help shape the future of this beautiful land. The workshop takes place from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm.
The historic Parsons Lodge is located in the heart of Tuolumne Meadows by Soda Springs, where John Muir and Robert Underwood Johnson discussed the creation of a national park system. Be sure you allow 30 minutes hiking time from the parking areas (by stables in Tuolumne Meadows).
The workbook is currently available online for public comment through September 15 at www.nps.gov/yose/planning/trp. For more information, send an email to yose_planning@nps.gov or contact project manager Kristina Rylands at 209/379-1175.
