Badger Pass: Status report.
While it might have been a quiet week in Yosemite Valley, it seems that there’s been some work going on up at Badger Pass Ski Resort. Work crews have been cleaning and setting up the gear. Today we had our general training, and yours truly found herself on a set of Nordic (X-country) skis for the first time in her life. I had lots of practice getting up from skiers “first position”. I have a goal, you see. I want to ski out to the Glacier Point ski hut for the night of February 20th, 2008 for the lunar eclipse.
There was about 16 or 17 inches of snow this week; Enough to get a good start, but not enough to open up for guests. No snow is forecast for the next week.
Think snow.
