Hwy 140 and 120 Construction News
Just to echo Edie’s earlier sentiments about construction driving to and from the Valley… this was recently issued by NPS regarding restrictions on travel at the 120/140 junction. (Hwy 41 is not impacted.) Careful guys - don’t get stuck!

El Portal Road Reconstruction Hours Announced in Yosemite National Park:
Road construction hours will be as follows:
Weekdays:
Sunday - Thursday - 10:00 pm through 6:00 am - Full night closure with one outbound opening at 11:00 pm
Monday - Friday - 6:00 am through 10:00 pm - One lane controlled traffic with maximum 30 minute delays
Weekends:
Friday 4:30 pm through Sunday 10:00 pm - One lane controlled traffic with maximum 30 minute delays

Hi, cool blog, and thanks for the info! Whats the word on snow down in the Valley? We’re a univeristy excursions group coming up this weekend for “snowshoeing”, trying to find out if we should bother bringing our snowshoes. Also, is the road up to Mariposa Grove closed yet?
