Question: Is Camp 4 still open? If the closure on Northside drive is west of the camp, that shouldn't affect it - right? I was thinking of hopping a train/bus and hit it for some nice snow camping. Any foreseeable problem?

Caveat emptor!

I was warned that Northside drive is closed to foot traffic as well due to continuing danger of more rockfalls.

Is it worth being hit on the head?

"Yeah, well, you'd be cautious too if a tree fell on your car, too!"
