Missing Snowboarders Found Safe and Sound
Three missing snowboarders have been found safe and sound after they failed to catch their ride near Yosemite West and were reported missing.
San Jose Mercury News: “Helicopter search teams found three snowboarders who were reported missing near Yosemite National Park, rangers said Tuesday.
Spotters located the snowboarders near the South Fork of the Merced River mid-afternoon Tuesday. All three were responsive and able to walk to the helicopter on their own, park officials said.
The search started after the snowboarders didn’t show up to meet their ride Monday evening near the community of Yosemite West, close to the park’s western boundary. “
