Sometimes I like to choose photos that are a little different for the Photo of the Day and today’s photo is no exception. While browsing through the images on Flickr.com I happened to catch this one by Kevinmcchubb as I was scrolling down the page and had to back up and get a better view of it. I like the way you can see the exfoliating layers of granite so clearly adding weight to the foreground while Tenaya Canyon and the peaks of the High Sierra loom in the background. Really cool. Nice work.
