Search Continues for Missing Hiker
The search is continuing in the Glacier Point area for missing hiker Ssmyn Barrios. Barrios is 24 years old, a native Honduran, and about 5’7″ tall. Barrios speaks Spanish and broken English was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue t-shirt, and black shoes.
If you were in the area of Sentinel Dome, Washburn Point, or Glacier point after 2pm on June 8th please call Yosemite National Park Investigations Unit at 209-372-0311. It’s important that you call even if they did not see Mr. Barrios as this will help rescuers pinpoint where he was seen and where he wasn’t seen to narrow down the search.
For over 30 years now I've enjoyed hiking, backpacking, fishing, photographing and exploring Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada.
