NPS announces campground opening dates
Although the Tioga Road has been open for a long time, the Tuolumne Meadows season doesn’t really seem to get underway until the campgrounds open up, so it’s always interesting to finally hear the opening dates.
Scheduled opening dates:
Crane Flat, White Wolf, Tuolumne Meadows, and Yosemite Creek Campgrounds June 20, 2008
Tamarack Flat Campground June 24
Porcupine Flat and Bridalveil Creek Campground July 3
Tuolumne Meadows Lodge is already open, as are other services like the store, grill, gas station, sport shop and stables.
For over 30 years now I've enjoyed hiking, backpacking, fishing, photographing and exploring Yosemite and the Sierra Nevada.
