Come On Up
I’ve received a lot of emails over the last few days asking about conditions with the fire and if it’s safe to come up.
Right now it’s smoky but not too bad. If you have asthma, difficulty breathing, or accutely sensitive to smoke and pollution you may want to limit your time outside or head for the high country like Tuolumne Meadows otherwise you should be OK. There’s no need to cancel your vacation yet.
If you’re staying in El Portal or Mariposa call your host to find out their individual conditions. I’ve heard reports that a couple resorts evacuated and they may not be back in operation yet. So call your host just to be on the safe side.
