Northside drive is closed
Northside drive is closed due to a 6′ boulder on the road past Camp 4. All traffic is being routed to southside drive until it is cleared. Several inches of wet snow have complicated matters, no doubt. Chains are required on 41.

Northside Drive Set To Reopen
Northside Drive, closed during the renovation of the Yosemite septic system, is scheduled to reopen to normal traffic the morning of Thursday, May 19th 2005. Until then please remember to use caution where traffic has been diverted to Southside Drive.

Northside Drive Closed
Northside Drive is closed due to construction from the Pohono Bridge to Yosemite Lodge. Southside Drive has been converted to two way traffic with additional stop and yield signs where Southside Drive and 41 meet just north of the Bridalveil Fall parking lot. Posted speed limit for Yosemite Valley is currently 25mph due to construction.…

Southside Drive Closed
Southside Drive will be closed between Sentinel Bridge and the west end of Housekeeping. During the closure you’ll still be able to access Housekeeping, Leconte Memorial, Curry Village, and the Campgrounds but you’ll need to come around Northside Drive. Northside Drive between Camp-6 Intersection and Curry Village will be 2-way traffic during this 10-day detour.

NPS Announces New Rules for Horsetail Fall (firefall) event
In an effort to make the situation a little better for everyone the National Park Service has started a new pilot program designed to help alleviate the traffic and overcrowding headaches caused by the flood of visitors for the Horsetail Fall event.
