Take Your Computer
Edie has let the secret out! If you’re headed to Yosemite you CAN take your laptop, so long as you’re close to the Ahwahnee.

Just a bit of info; Not only the Ahwahnee, but the Yosemite lodge does too. The Ahwahnee wifi access is passworded; Stop at the front desk if you’re a guest, and ask for a sheet explaining how to access it, and the password. Yes, it’s free. No, it’s not avaiable in the rooms, apparently. It is available in the Grand Lounge, however. You must supply your own card, or your computer must have it installed internally.
From what I understand, you can sit in the courtyard at the Yosemite Lodge, and it’s not passworded. But the mosquitos are terrible.
HTH, HAND.
