Bears Look For Free Lunch In Climbers Haul Bags

Looks like a couple of bears have found a new, easy meal away from the rangers and the hub-bub of the camp grounds; they’ve began raiding climbers haul bags.

NPS: “Climbers, please be vigilant. Two or more bears have been tearing into haul bags and day packs at the base of El Capitan for food. Also, numerous sows with cubs have been sighted throughout the valley. Please leave them plenty of space and never come between a mother and cub as this is potentially dangerous.

Keep Bears WildLet us know if you see a bear, no matter where it is or what it’s doing. Call 209/372-0322.”
