Searchers Focusing on Merced Lake for Missing UC Davis Student

News 10: “Searchers on Monday intensified their efforts to find a U.C. Davis student who was last seen on the John Muir Trail near Yosemite National Park.

They are now focusing their efforts on the Merced Lake area. About 50 searchers are looking for Hyundo Ahn, including two helicopters and a number of horseback riders.

Park spokesman Scott Gediman said Ahn, a linguistics major from South Korea, was last seen in Yosemite National Park on June 22 when he encountered other hikers and asked about the availability of food along the trail ahead.”
