Should I try to get a first come, first served site or make reservations?

I am planning on going to Yosemite the 20, 21, 22 of March, I believe thats a monday, tuesday, wednesday. Do you know if it is busy at that time or will I be able to get into the first come first serve camp by El Capitan? If its busy then im gonna go ahead and reserve a site somewhere.

Spring is a beautiful time to visit the park. Unfortunately many people have the same opinion. As my wife says, “If you want to be sure to get a site, make reservations.” I will admit that I have been surprised and been able to get a site at Tuolumne Meadows at 5pm on a busy weekend during the summer so I wouldn’t rule out trying to get a site at Camp 4. Just have a backup plan just in case you can’t get in.
