There have been 11 bears hit by cars this year. Most often bears will dash across the road in front of your car giving you little time to respond. By driving responsibly and obeying all posted speed limits in the park you help protect yourself, your property, and the life you save could be a bears. Thanks.

We almost hit a bear on one trip to Yosemite. It came out of nowhere and then hauled but back into the woods. I was in the backseat and only saw its big rump and the backs of its feet kicking up dust as it ran back into the woods.
