Bear Activity
Numerous sow’s with cubs have been sighted throughout the valley. They spend time in all the campgrounds and in more natural habitat. Please leave them plenty of space and never come between a mother and cub as this is potentially dangerous. They have obtained food from visitors that left their food out. Please remember to save these cubs from getting habituated. Put your food away!
Bears have been observed in Tuolumne in the campgrounds and at Tenaya Lake Picnic area.
